Hi, I’m Kathy!
Twenty years ago, I photographed my first wedding and I can still remember the photo that hooked me to wedding photography.The bride’s three daughters, all flower girls, came running toward her and knocked her straight to the floor. Everyone fell into laughter. The photo was pure joy a tiny, completely unplanned moment between a mom and her daughters as they started the next chapter of their lives. I knew then this is what I want to do. I want to capture the real moments.
I have had the privilege of working with amazing couples and their families. I have photographed more than 500 weddings and elopements across 20+ states and four continents. From a 500-person Greek wedding on the island of Chios, to sunrise elopements at the Lincoln Memorial, mountain-top vows, wild backyard parties, a safari wedding in Kenya, and even a wedding surrounded by penguins in Antarctica.
Along the way, my documentary photography and portraits have won international awards, including being ranked among the top three wedding photographers internationally. I have had an amazing career and I am no where near done!
Twenty years later, I’m still looking for the same thing I saw in that very first wedding:The moments you couldn’t plan if you tried.

I am and have always been dedicated to my couples and creating images that induce emotions and bring back memories. My photography is more than just a pretty picture. It’s about connection. Connection between my couples, connection between families, connection with the location that they fell in love with for their wedding.
It’s about listening and hearing my couples wishes and desires, whether it is less time with posed photographs so they can enjoy their party or creating fun pieces of art that reflect their personality and their story. My work has always been inspired by the people I work with and who they are and never about being cookie cutter photography.
I invite you to come on an adventure with me through my work where you can meet some of the incredible humans who I have been able to work with and become friends with over the years. Every wedding I have ever photographed had a moment or image that still to this day sits in my mind. I have been so lucky to be able to capture these intimate memories for people for the past 20 years and I can’t wait meet new people and give them back moments to hold in the hand (or on their phone) for the next 10 + years.
