I arrived at Amanda & Anthony's Rehearsal dinner and felt like I was home in New York. As soon as I walked into the courtyard I heard those familiar Brooklyn accents. Amanda and Anthony picked the Hyatt Regency Cambridge because they wanted to have a local destination wedding. So they brought New York with them to Maryland. From their guests to even the food New York was tied into every piece of their wedding.
I met up with Amanda and Anthony for their rehearsal. This was the first time I got to meet them in person. I love photographing the day before a wedding because it gives me a chance to get to know some of the family and wedding party. They had a beautiful outside dinner on the lawn behind the hotel. Amanda's dad is a distributor of ice cream in New York. He actually use to own a carvel in the city. So, he brought in all of these delicious desserts from popcorn, peanuts, pretzels, all sorts of ice cream,Krisy Kremes, and black and white cookies. It was such a beautiful night and Amanda, Anthony and I were able to sneak away for a few photos.

Amanda and Anthony are both Emergency Room Surgeons in NY. (Congrats Amanda on graduating !!) . There first date was to a Knicks game where Anthony wined and dined her... Fast forward two years of traveling back and forth from PA to NY while Amanda was finishing her residency... and while on a trip to Italy. Anthony proposed to Amanda.
They spent the morning getting ready. Amanda got ready with all her bridesmaids all of whom she has known since she was a little girl. They brought in a fabulous hair and make-up artist from New Jersey. And Amanda's dress... Holy crap it was STUNNING! Probably the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. For a more day time look she added a skirt to the dress.
Amanda tried so hard to hold back the tears but as her dad walked in and she started realizing that she was about to marry the most incredible man. Someone who just has to look at her to make her smile. Someone that still gives her butterflies.
The ceremony was on the dock in the water and was so beautiful. I love when couples exchange their own vows. There was not a dry eye on the dock! But there was a serious asshole who thought it was ok to speed his boat right past the ceremony.
Amanda's dress was just so stunning. She went with a beautiful long veil with a blusher. It's very rare to see a blusher anymore!
