I love love love love love shooting engagement sessions... I mean, don't get me wrong weddings are awesome but during an engagement session I have time to get to know my couples and play with all sorts of locations, lighting, and poses!
I always tell my couples that the best time to do your engagement photos in DC is for sunrise. It's almost as if we have the whole place to ourselves. Especially when sunrise is at 5:15am... It may have took us a little while to get our brains up and running but it was well worth waking up at 3:45am for Colleen & Connor's session! We had a beautiful morning for their session. The sky was lit with beautiful pink and purple hues until the golden sun came shining through. We started off near the Lincoln Memorial one of my favorite spots for photos.
Colleen & Connor picked Washington DC for their engagement photography because they recently moved to DC after starting their story in Baltimore. They wanted to incorporate their new home into their photos. While we picked some of my usual favorite spots including Union Market we also headed over to the Arboretum and with the wind blowing we ended up with the most amazing photos!!!
Colleen & Connor get married this December and I can't wait!
