Back in May I met Ginger at my first COVID wedding. She was officiating for Kristin & Jeff at their front yard wedding. She told me that like everyone else her original wedding fell apart and that she lost all of her vendors. She asked if I was available and I had to laugh because her wedding would be only the second time I would work in almost 3 months and I was so honored to be asked.

When I showed up their deck was fully decked out. Joe who grew up farming in Oklahoma has turned his backyard into container gardens. Those early plants came in handy as “seats” for their wedding guests. Ginger, Joe, and her kids had gotten photos of all their guests and cut their heads so that they could be in attendance. I was also greeted by their pups who would steal the show throughout the day…

Ginger’s daughter did her make-up making us both laugh as she was describing teenage make-up terms that we were both like wait what? Joe stayed downstairs making sure that everything looked perfect for their wedding day. From the moment of the first look on I saw the love and dedication that Joe had not just for Ginger but for her two children two. His heart was just bursting with love during the ceremony. Such a beautiful intimate ceremony between Ginger and her two children and Joe.

After the ceremony Ginger and Joe had a beautiful first dance while her son and their pup had one in the background. They hired a personal chef to cook them dinner for the night. While waiting for dinner they got to enjoy family time just sitting around talking and being together. This is truly what a wedding should look like!
