Jessie & Erin sent me the most beautiful email in January 2020 about booking their wedding for that March. They were so excited to have a short engagement and to get married at the Peabody in Baltimore, Maryland. Unfortunately… COVID had other plans. TWO WEEKS before their wedding the world shut down. So like everyone else they rescheduled…. to June 2020… then July 2020… then September 2020… then June 2021.

In the meantime, Jessie’s dad has been battling Lung Cancer. As the days passed Jessie got worried that the longer they waited she wouldn’t be able to have her dad walk her down the aisle. They called me with a plan to elope in New York City. We waited till things calmed down a bit and then picked a date for them to get married.

Family flew in from California, Lei’s flew in from Hawaii… and on the PERFECT Friday Jessie & Erin finally got married.

They got ready at Jessie’s moms house in Manhattan. An intimate moment filled with tuna fish sandwiches. After helping each other get dressed they were surprised by getting picked up in a Limo to take them to Central Park.

With the record they were on with having to change wedding dates… they were a little nervous that something would go wrong. Checking every few minutes that they had the rings, their wedding license, and hoping that the officiant wouldn’t forget about their wedding date.

We walked around Central Park and found the spot for their ceremony and then it was time for them to get married. The ceremony was beautiful and although they did almost drop one of their rings… They officially got married !

To celebrate they had an intimate picnic in the park filled with delicious cupcakes and finger sandwiches. Then it was off on an adventure!

We started with a trip to Brooklyn and hit some of my favorite spots for photos including up on the Brooklyn bridge. Since we were in COVID times the locations were empty which made it so much more fun to photograph. If you have ever been to the Brooklyn Bridge on a Friday it is usually a mad house! We finished the night with photos on Broadway where Erin divulged in the infamous photographer phrase… Just one more…
